Monjur is an accomplished Technical Director whose career in marine engineering began in 1985, rising to Chief Engineer by 1999. Over nearly four decades, as a Chief Engineer, he has gained extensive experience across VLCCs, Suezmax, Aframax, Chemical Tankers, and offshore Mobile Offshore Drilling Units (MODUs).

His forensic knowledge of machinery investigations, including main engines, propulsion systems, and shafting, has made him a trusted technical authority in complex casualty and claims work. On MODUs, he has also worked extensively with EMD generators operating at high voltage (4170V), giving him a rare depth of expertise in power and propulsion systems.

Monjur’s offshore achievements are equally notable. As Chief Engineer on MODUs, he has extensive experience with drilling equipment, including Top Drive, Drawworks, and Mud Pumps, in deep-water drilling operations to depths of 20,000 feet in gas fields. Experienced in drill ship upgrading projects, including dry-docking and the installation of a new flare boom.

Alongside his offshore and investigative expertise, Monjur has a long track record of successful shipyard deliveries, retrofits, and dry-docking projects, consistently delivering safe, efficient, and cost-effective results.
