Syed is a seasoned Master Mariner and Senior Maritime Consultant with nearly three decades of international maritime experience. Having commanded vessels and managed complex tanker operations, he has transitioned his expertise into consultancy, inspections, and surveys, where he provides trusted support to shipowners, insurers, and international clients.

His wide-ranging expertise includes casualty and incident investigations, P&I and H&M claims, pre-purchase and condition inspections, chartering surveys, and pollution or cargo-related claims. He has also served as Port Captain, supervising tanker operations and ensuring compliance with international standards across terminals and ports worldwide.
His career also includes oversight of shipyard deliveries, retrofits, and underwater surveys, ensuring vessels meet operational, technical, and environmental compliance requirements.
