Fertilizers (All Grades)
Our senior consultants are routinely involved with advisory services with a full range of fertilizer cargoes, including nitrogenous, phosphatic, and potassic types.
With our extensive experience in handling expensive bulk fertilizer-related claims, primarily due to water ingress, we routinely recommend and conduct thorough hatch-opening surveys to assess the condition of cargo upon arrival and before unloading. Subsequently, our consultants monitor the cargo unloading operations until completion to ensure no shortage or contamination claims.
Each fertilizer type is managed with dedicated cargo handling protocols, cross-contamination controls, and cargo-specific MSDS adherence.
- Ammonium nitrate and urea: Thermal sensitivity, oxidizing hazard (Class 5.1 compliance)
- MAP/DAP: Highly hygroscopic; managed with dry loading windows and hold dehumidification
- Potash (MOP/SOP): Requires ambient humidity control to prevent caking and flow resistance
Through our operational integration with laboratories, surveyors, and port agents, we consistently prioritize safety assurance, cargo value protection, and regulatory traceability.
